I am delighted that you have discovered Nia and that we have met this way. Nia has an amazing way of magnetising the right people to it!
My chance meeting with Nia changed my life. At my first Nia class I felt an immediate Joy and a sense of coming home however, I had no intention of ever teaching Nia, I just wanted to find another class like that one, in London. At that time, London had no Nia classes, and a series of happy events and choices brought me here.
Here: I am now the UK’s first and only resident Nia Technique White Belt Trainer for the Nia Training Faculty based in Portland, Oregon. I am still amazed at how this all happened. Working with the body, means being guided in your life by a deeper source of wisdom. The body, is a gateway to the unconscious.
I was invited to become a trainer after bringing Nia to London and building the Nia London community of teachers as well as seeding the Scottish community of teachers and nurturing the UK Nia Community.
Before finding Nia, I was an Opera Singer and worked with CAPAB my local Opera company in Cape Town, I had an underwhelming singing career over many years and worked with Opera companies in the UK including British Youth Opera.
I look forward to sharing the dance with you.
If you are interested in finding a local Nia class or training in the Whitebelt Training, feel free to ring me on 07746 147345.
